1. Trim before upload
Keep only the moment you need. Shorter clips process faster and make it easier to choose density, frame rate and export settings.
2. Stabilize the composition
ASCII has limited resolution. A stable subject and simple background preserve more meaning than fast pans, heavy grain or crowded scenes.
3. Balance density and motion
High density can reveal detail in still frames but may make motion shimmer. If playback feels harsh, reduce width or use a simpler character set.
4. Export for the destination
Use MP4 for video platforms, GIF for lightweight looping previews and HTML when the final result belongs on a webpage.
