Guide
3D conversion gives you control over view and presentation. The goal is not to show every polygon; it is to choose a viewpoint and style where the model reads as ASCII.

Silhouette explains the form before surface detail fills in.
Remove hidden extras and confusing small parts where possible. Simple, recognizable forms convert more reliably than dense scenes with many overlapping shapes.
Rotate the model until the outline explains the object. Strong silhouettes help ASCII viewers understand the subject before they inspect surface detail.
Use contrast to separate planes, then adjust density. If surfaces collapse into noise, simplify the character set or reduce effects before increasing resolution.
Front, three-quarter and profile views can each communicate something different. Save versions so you can compare them before exporting HTML, image or animation formats.
